Refund & Return Policy
Overview
NetSecure Foundation is a registered Section 8 Non-Profit Organisation (CIN: U88900RJ2025NPL099499) dedicated to cybercrime awareness and digital literacy. All funds received by us — including donations, CSR contributions, and grants — are used exclusively to support our on-ground awareness programmes.
This Refund and Return Policy governs all monetary transactions made to NetSecure Foundation, including online donations processed through third-party payment gateways such as Razorpay, Instamojo, and PayU, as well as bank transfers and UPI payments.
General refund policy for donations
All donations made to NetSecure Foundation are considered voluntary contributions towards a social mission. As a general rule, donations are non-refundable once received and acknowledged, as they are immediately allocated towards our programme activities.

Payment gateway charges
Online donations are processed through third-party payment gateways (Razorpay, Instamojo, PayU). These gateways may levy processing fees on transactions.
- In cases where a refund is approved, NetSecure Foundation will refund the full donation amount received by us
- Payment gateway transaction fees, if any, are non-refundable as they are retained by the gateway and are outside NetSecure Foundation's control
- For duplicate payment refunds where no services were rendered, we will endeavour to recover and return the full amount including any gateway fees, subject to the gateway's policies
80G tax exemption & refunds
Donations to NetSecure Foundation may be eligible for deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Please note the following regarding 80G certificates and refunds:
- 80G certificates are issued for the financial year in which the donation was received
- If a donation is refunded, the corresponding 80G certificate will be cancelled or amended. You must not claim the deduction for a refunded donation in your income tax return
- If you have already filed your income tax return claiming the 80G deduction for a donation that is subsequently refunded, you are responsible for filing a revised return with the Income Tax Department
- NetSecure Foundation will issue a formal refund acknowledgement letter that you may use for tax revision purposes
CSR & institutional contributions
For corporate CSR contributions, grants, or institutional donations:
- Refund requests must be made in writing by an authorised signatory of the contributing organisation
- All CSR contributions are subject to a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or Letter of Agreement between the contributing organisation and NetSecure Foundation. Refund eligibility will be governed by the terms of that agreement
- If no formal agreement exists, this Policy applies
- CSR contributions for which an Impact Report or Utilisation Certificate has already been issued will generally not be eligible for refund
- For programme cancellations initiated by NetSecure Foundation, a proportional refund of unutilised funds will be processed within 30 days
